Cavalier de la Garde Impériale, or Cavalier of the Imperial Guard, is a French jacquard-woven wall tapestry inspired by the famous masterpiece The Charging Chasseur, painted by Theodore Géricault in 1812. A wide, rich border has been added as a grand framing around the image. Gericault was an emblematic artist of the Napoleon era.
