It portrays Gather Ye Rosebuds While Ye May, the second of 2 oil paintings on canvas created in 1909 by British Pre-Raphaelite artist, John William Waterhouse. It was inspired by the 17th century poem To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time by Robert Herrick which begins:
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today,
Tomorrow will be dying.

The quality is wonderful...the colors are vibrant and lifelike. The description does not do the actual item justice. The item exceeded my expectations. I give it a five star review out of five. I wish I had a need for more.
